There's a shifting of modes, moving from one season to another. Spring to summer here in New Orleans is its own special kind of animal. A deep, intimate, slow moving, yet richly transforming animal. Each state of being has its own ever changing set of instructions for finding vitality. Sometimes it's upbeat and energized, all we have to do is hop on, and sometimes we seek the tremors of life from first finding the still point and breathing into it. We want to move in, on, under and with our seasonal rhythm, not to try and change it in lieu of a season/mode/energy we prefer. It is a practice to allow, instead of resist. The gems are there, in the hot hot swamp of the psyche, of the body. Come dance with me.
